Morris and his wife, Cynthia, started Tree Crisp Orchards in Wolcott, New York, in 1992. Today they have 485 acres of trellised apple trees, including 70 acres of SnapDragon and 10 acres of RubyFrost. Those two varieties were released at Cornell on Aug. 1, 2013, where Dr. Susan Brown heads the oldest apple breeding program in the U.S.
