1957 1958 Farmall Cub Tractor With Woods Belly Mower
I have both a 1959 Fast Hitch Cub Lo-Boy mounted with a Woods 59" belly mower, and a 1954 Farmall Super C with Fast hitch that I use a 3-point adapter with a 6' tow behind finishing mower. We use both on about 5 acres around the farm, but the Super C is much faster. So much so that we use the Cub just for the steep slopes and around the edges.

Cub sickle mower PTO pulleys are 4" or 4-1/2" in diameter, and have a pretty good offset to them so the belt will line up. A drive pulley for a Woods mower will be much too large and will cause the belt to be offset so badly it won't stay on the pulleys. Woods mowers use a 6" to 7" pulley as I recall, and even if you could get the belt to stay.

john, i use a farmall cub with a 59" woods belly mower for the ditches at my farms. i also bought a swisher trailing mower from big r's and hook that up behind the cub. the swisher is basically a mower deck on wheels with its own engine and electric start. the mower will trail behind the tractor or you can telescope the hitch to run along side.

Some say yes, some say no. Depends on how deep the grass is and how strong the Cub really is. Posted July 2, 2013. Cubs aren't the best for mowing with a belly mower, especially on hills because the mower just drains the power from the engine. If you have flat land however you will be fine. Posted July 2, 2013.
