Ray Thomas, the flutist, singer and composer of t he Moody Blues, died in his sleep at his home in Surrey, England, on January 4, 2018, following a battle with prostate cancer. He was 76. Thomas was among six members of the progressive rock band who were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's Class of 2018.
