Lake Cospuden is situated on the southern edge of the City of Leipzig right next to "Kulki" , the only other lake in Leipzig proper. One circuit of Lake Cospuden is a total of 11 kilometres, so it will take you quite a while to walk all the way around it.

Der Cospudener See ist ein südlich von Leipzig gelegener künstlicher See. Er entstand aus einem Tagebaurestloch, das geflutet wurde. Anteile an der Seefläche haben die drei sächsischen Städte Leipzig (Gemarkung Lauer), Markkleeberg (Gemarkungen Gautzsch und Cospuden) sowie Zwenkau (Gemarkung Eythra).
