Bray ( Irish: Bré [bʲɾʲeː]) [2] is a coastal town in north County Wicklow, Ireland. It is situated about 20 km (12 mi) south of Dublin city centre on the east coast. It has a population of 33,512 making it the tenth largest urban area within Ireland (at the 2022 census ). [1]

Bray County Wicklow is the biggest town in the county with a resident population of about 35,000. It has been a popular seaside resort for over a century and was a favourite summer holiday destination for residents of Dublin city which is about 20 km away. Bray was connected to Dublin by one of the first Irish railways in the mid 19th century.
